Bands:
Cap De Craniu is a death metal / grindcore / metal band from Bucharest, Romania, formed in spring 2007.
Shortly after they formed the band, CDC(Cap De Craniu) released „First EP for a Surgery”, in April 2007, being credited with defining the Romanian grindcore scene by incorporating elements of hardcore and punk, vocals with severe growls and squeals reflected in horror and social lyrics.
CDC was formed in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, in March 2007 by Calin Raduta and Costin Chioreanu, who were already playing in numerous local bands and projects since the early ’90s (H8, Hang Him, Kendo, Crize, Protest Urban, Deviant, Nightpray, My Shadow, Discordless, Subway Night Orchestra, Retribution, Sistem Nervos, etc).
The duo was inspired by horror and gore movies similar to „Evil Dead”, mostly creating stories around a fictive character(Laur, the protagonist in all their lyrics), about the human kind in our days and also giving an ironical meaning to the most common social disorders(as they say: „if you want get past evil, smile first!”).
The first stable line-up of the group consisted of Calin Raduta on guitar, Costin Chioreanu on bass, Razvan Raduta Penda on drums and Dragos Drunea on vocals. CDC consists of 4 members and, besides music, they have some strong points in music engineering, graphic design and video production. They became a DIY group, self releasing „First EP for a surgery” and performing at many important concerts and festivals along bands like Suffocation, Rotting Christ, or Parkway Drive.
After entering their own studio to record „I’ll Kill If I Live”, the fifth member Radu Ionascu joined CDC on guitar.
In the summer of 2011, the band faced a period of hardship, with 3 of the members quitting the band.
As a duo group, the two brothers, Calin and Razvan decided to collaborate with Metalfan Records Division and finished producing the debut album, called „I’ll Kill If I Live”, released during the spring of 2012.
Constantly thinking forward, seeking the best for the future band structure, they chose to recruit Nicolae Paul as the bassist and not one, but two vocalists: Mihai Ionescu and Vicentiu ‘Averac’ Busuioc, in order to reach the look and the sound of a higher dimension.
With the new Cap de Craniu line up, the guys finished converting the vocal line of the new album fitting both vocalists in all the shows they’ll perform, already enthusiastic about the new material they’re about to compose in this formula.
In 2010, Breathelast started with a different line-up, different style of music (nu metal – alternative). The new style of music has a lot of breakdowns and tempo changes, which confines a very personal feeling to the songs, building up the energy that comes out of this style of song-writing and playing. The band members come from various musical backgrounds and have been around for a while, enough to know that music is the only driving energy and that success is only the palm of your hand, when you’re holding a guitar, drum sticks or a microphone , on a stage, in front of people that enjoy your music. Further on, we take the responsibility to develop our sound and get the music across to the interested audience, wherever it may roam. (Former and) Current bands we are performing in: Herman Heidel ( Magica, Monarchy, Deathdrive and many more ), Ionut Cojocaru ( Catanga, Crize, Godmode, Side FX ), Valentin Birsan ( Efecte Secundare – CT, Side FX – B ), Andrei Mihai Ionut ( Pamant, nOciv, Crize, Dekadens, Side FX, Traum ), Alex ( Breathelast).

Going under the name “TARANTULA” the band has been through many changes of both style and members, from Old School Thrash to Groove/Death Metal, since 2008 up ‘till now.
Our first album “Spread the disease” is out since the fall of 2012 and it was released just after our first official video for “Psalm of Mockery”. We toured with both “Eufobia” (BG) and “Soul Sacrifice” (TUR) for the release of the album. The first half of the LP, “Old Shit” as we called it, contains tracks composed by former band members that the new crew re-orchestrated, boosting both groove as well as speed riffs. “New Shit” with songs like “Unholy” or “Never Enough” uppers the darkness of our themes, giving away more of what is to be expected from the band in the near future. The whole album is in fact a tribute to what we formally played as well as a transformation of the band’s core style.
Ruse and Sofia are two of the Bulgarian locations the band played in 2011-2012, getting positive feedback from the audience as well as the local media, with the promise to come back.
Mars 2013 gave us the opportunity to travel along and tour with “Contradiction” (GER) in Bucharest-Sibiu-Timisoara-
Based on the quality of the shows and the growing interest of the local audience, the band is selected and passes to semi-finals in the “Wacken Open Air Metal Battle”, in Bucharest – April 12, 2013, sharing the stage with some of the most popular local bands.
With openings for “Napalm Death” (Bucharest – September 2011 – Wings Club) or “Brujeria” (Bucharest -December 2012 – Silver Church) the band gains more confidence as feedback hits a lot of positive points, allowing the opening for “Veil of Maya” in Fabrica Club, in July 2013 and a slot for one of the biggest festivals near Bucharest, B’est Fest Summer Camp.
Always present and always trying to create better shows and music, Negative CORE Project is currently working on the second album and a new video, probably to be released this fall (2013).
Band members:
– Filip „Flip” BRUNET – vocals (DEFUNCT, ex: Tarantula)
– Gabi DIMA – drums (ex: Tiarra)
– Tudor SCANTEIE – guitar (DEFUNCT, Tiarra, Antarctica, M-51, ex: Shesdead)
– Mihai DINCA – guitar (Apa Simbetii, Drop Out Of Life)
– Alex NICHIFOROF – bass (ex: Shesdead)
The Boy Who Cried Wolf started their activity as two local bands from Bucharest collided ( CHESTER & Breathelast ), and Bogdan and Mihai gave it a sincere go to writing some tunes that would better react to their primal needs to play some wild , fast paced metal, inspired by old school metal combined w/ Hardcore / Punk vibes. Soon to be joining them, Serban-Ionut (White Walls bass player and promoter extraordinaire), joined TbWcW, as he moved his activities to Bucharest, Alex (Backstage Hero / Perfect Zero For Infinity) joined on drums and the wolf pack was complete. 2012 placed TbWcW in rehearsal rooms and deep in song composition and manufacturing kick ass songs, only to find themselves touring, for a small part of the White Walls Autumn Tour. In 2013, TbWcW regrouped and finished writing their first debut material, intitled „BAD TIME STORIES”, an 8 songs material that was recorded / mixed / mastered @ Next Dog Studio, by Sound Engineer / Producer : Marius Costache. The album will be released on-line, via download, somewhere towards the end of March.
