Joi 27 martie, Mike Watt – unul dintre cei mai importanți basiști ai ultimelor decenii, va urca pe scena din Control cu proiectul lui actual The Missingmen. Din 2003 pâna în prezent, de la reuniunea trupei The Stooges , Mike Watt este basistul grupului. Watt a mai performat în România în 2011, alături de Iggy Pop, în cadrul festivalului Peninsula de la Târgu Mureș. Evenimentul debutează cu proiectele muzicale G U E S S W H A T și L ‘ O E I L L E R E.

Co-fondator al trupelor cult undergroud Minutemen și Firehose, Mike Watt a primit în 2008 premiul pentru “lifetime achievment” al revistei Bass Player Magazine, prezentat de Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers). La primul album solo al lui Mike Watt, “Ball-Hog or Tugboat?” au contribuit, printre alții, Eddie Vedder, Henry Rollins, Frank Black, Flea, Marg Lanegan, Eddie Veder sau Dave Grohl, toti făcând parte din trupe influentațe de muzica Minutemen și Firehose. În turneul care a urmat apariției albumului, Mike Watt a fost acompaniat de către Eddie Veder (Pearl Jam) și Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters).
Din 2003 pâna în prezent, de la reuniunea trupei The Stooges , Mike Watt este basistul grupului.
